Google AdSense was down this morning. It’s a rare opportunity to see Google’s error message. We got a screen shot of it. And you would think the “Do No Evil” Google is totally algorithm driven, fair and square and that’ll apply to the error message too. Think again.

First observation is that Google support this many languages in its error message. We have no clue what many of the languages are. Aren’t you?

Then we noticed that Google treats languages differently. The first is English, of cause. The second is Japanese, um…the later ones are other languages we don’t know. But obviously it’s not in the alphabet order. I’m just wondering, what kind of algorithm brings this order, the volume of users visit Google, the economic power behind the languages, or the preference of the Google developers or managers? No clue.
